Digital Comparatism
The emergence of new technologies and the mass use of Internet in the last decades revolutionized both the field of literature and of comparatism, in relation to the reading and researching habits as well as to the literary creation. Specifically, the digitalization and the accessibility of texts offer comparative literature new possibilities of research and innovative methodologies. This conference aims to give an opportunity to postgraduate and early career researchers – who started their studies and are doing and will do their research in this new context – to analyze the new phenomena of the digital era, and thereby show thus their vision about the future of literature.
Proposals related to any aspect of digital literature and of comparative literature studied from this new digital context will be welcome. Topics may include but are not confined to:
- Cyber Literature
- The existence and the creation of new digital literary genres
- Intertextuality and intermedia
- Hypertextuality and hypermedia
